# Terms of use: Switchboard Finance for AI assistants

Last updated 1 October 2026. These terms cover the Switchboard Finance MCP server, plugin, app, A2A agent and API at https://api.switchboardfinance.com.au (together, "the service"), used directly or through an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude.

## Who we are
Switchboard Finance Pty Ltd (ABN 29 691 892 289) is Credit Representative 576702 of Australian Credit Licence 517192. Contact: hello@switchboardfinance.com.au.

## What the service does
- It gives general, category-level information about business finance in Australia: the types of finance that may fit a situation, observed ranges for loan size, LVR, time to fund and rates, the documents usually needed and common deal-breakers.
- With your consent, it passes your enquiry to a licensed Switchboard Finance broker, who contacts you about it.

## What it does not do
- It is not a credit application, credit check, offer, approval or credit decision, and it does not name or recommend a lender.
- It does not take your objectives, financial situation or needs into account and is not financial, legal or tax advice. A broker assesses every scenario before anything is recommended.
- It covers business-purpose finance for self-employed people and ABN holders. Personal, consumer and household loans are out of scope.
- Ranges are observed across a lender panel and change over time. They are not quotes.

## Your enquiry and consent
- We only receive your name, contact details and scenario when you agree to be contacted, by ticking the box in the card or confirming in the chat. We record how and when you agreed and the wording you agreed to.
- Give accurate details, and only your own (or details you are authorised to give for your business).

- You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time: reply to any message from us or email hello@switchboardfinance.com.au.

## Fair use
- Do not use the service to send enquiries on behalf of people who have not agreed, to send false or automated enquiries, or to disrupt the service. We rate-limit requests and may block misuse.
- The information is provided for you to consider your options. Do not republish it as a lender comparison or as advice.

## AI assistants
The assistant you use is operated by its own provider under its own terms. We are responsible for the information and actions of this service, not for how the assistant phrases its answers. Check anything important with a broker before you act on it.

## Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the general information alone, without speaking to a broker.

## Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
